Sevilla is my favorite food city in the world. After living there for a year I feel like I have found the best restaurants in Sevilla. Read this guide for where you should eat in Sevilla.
Typical Sevilla Restaurants
When you are in Sevilla you have to enjoy the local cuisine and typical dishes. There are many tapas bars. They are all pretty comparable but the most traditional ones tend to be around the bull rink. My favorite tapas are oxtails, patatas bravas, cheese plates, shrimp, and whatever vegetables are currently in season.
La Jaula de Papel is my favorite restaurant in Sevilla and if you are visiting it is my number 1 recommendation. Here you can find your favorite tapas classics but greatly elevated at a good price. Some of my favorite things are their salmon tartare, the blue cheese croquettes, and the lagarto Iberico. Everything here is incredible and you can spend the evening sitting in the lovely plaza located outside.
Maria Trifula is a Sevilla classic. Reservations here are essential as you will want to sit on their terrace. It is located right on the river on the Triana side and has stunning views of the city. Their cheese board is the best in Sevilla, and I constantly dream about their fantastic basque-style cheesecake.
Torres y Garcia is a great casual restaurant to go to. It is part of a small restaurant group. All of their restaurants are great and offer some refreshing takes on tapas. I had my birthday party here and it was great for groups.
Other Great Restaurants in Sevilla
If you like seafood, Canabota is the place for you. Canabota is by far the best place to get seafood in Sevilla. Their fish is caught locally and they prepare it in traditional ways. They have both a more casual bar restaurant and next door is their Michelin stared flagship location. Neither are for picky eaters as you won’t know what you will be getting until you get to the restaurant as the menu depends on what they get. The service here and the flavors are incredible.
For Italian food, I would go to L’Oca Giuliva. This restaurant’s atmosphere is classically Italian and quaint, and of course, their food is so good. Whenever I was craving a perfect Neopolitan pizza in Sevilla I would head here as it is the best in town.
Sobretablas is a beautiful restaurant with an expansive wine selection. They have more than just Spanish classics; my favorite dish is their signature “montaditos de pringa”. If you are getting tired of tapas and want something a little more upscale Sobretablas is a great modern and creative option.
I hope that you enjoyed this and have a great time exploring Sevilla’s best restaurants. Make sure to check out my Sevilla breakfast guide.
