If you are visiting Sevilla and are looking to get the best breakfast this is the guide for you. I have my favorite place for a traditional Spanish breakfast to a more American style and the perfect in-between. Sevilla was more home for about a year; these were my go-to breakfast places and cafes when I lived there. I hope that you enjoy this guide and get to have some yummy food while you are in Sevilla.
La Placio y Grata: Where to Get a Modern Take on Traditional Spanish Favorites in Sevilla
This modern boutique hotel has its own little breakfast place that is hidden just off one of the main shopping streets. Unfortunately, I didn’t run into this gem until my last two months in Sevilla. This had to be one of my favorite breakfast places in Sevilla and if you are visiting you have to go. They have a great specialty coffee selection and a great breakfast menu. Their coffee drinks are very innovative and they have amazing cold options that are so refreshing on a hot day. They take a modern approach to their tostadas which makes them a great way to try this typical Spanish breakfast if the usual tomate y jamón doesn’t sound appealing to you. They also have a variety of baked goods and egg dishes. I hope that you enjoy breakfast here! This cafe is designed beautifully which makes it such a perfect spot to start your day. They also have an amazing list of cocktails if you are looking for a place to go for drinks.
Indulge in Housemade Specialties at Breakfast at Casa Orzaez in Sevilla
This is another great in-between place when you are searching for breakfast in Sevilla. They make all of their own cheese and baked goods. Breakfast there consists of some creative twists on the traditional tostada where they use their own cheeses and different types of preserves. They also sell their own products, as well as have an amazing wine selection that you can take home with you to enjoy.
Traditional Breakfast at La Raza
This place is my go-to spot when I bring visitors into town. It is located right next to the beautiful Parque Maria Louisa. After breakfast, you can have a morning walk through the stunning park and see Plaza De Espana. Make sure to come here on a nice day so that you can sit outside, where, if you are lucky, the park’s peacocks will come and greet you while you sip on your refreshing fresh orange juice. They offer a very simple traditional Spanish breakfast where you can get everything for two people for less than 5 euros. I recommend ordering a cafe, a tostada, and an orange juice for the perfect Spanish breakfast.
American Breakfast in Sevilla at Greta
If you are looking for an all-day-breakfast spot Greta has you covered. It is located on the other side of the bridge in Los Remedios, just a couple minutes from the Triana neighborhood. It is another excellent place to sit outside and enjoy the sun. I would regularly get their pancakes around 16:00 for a little afternoon pick-me-up. It is also a great place to do work or study during the afternoon. They have great smoothie bowls, as well as pancakes and waffles. My go-to breakfast from Great was a green bowl and their fig and ricotta pancakes. At 6.50 for a smoothie bowl, their prices are impossible to beat.
I hope that you enjoy your time in Sevilla and check out my other Sevilla guides here.
