Nothing makes me more excited than finding a good market. I lived in Sevilla for a year and had the best time exploring all of Sevilla’s markets. These are my favorite markets that I would visit while I was living in Sevilla. If you are visiting or living in Sevilla the weekly markets make the perfect activity, as well as a great place to get gifts.
Jueves Market
Jueves is a weekly flea market that takes place in the neighborhood of Feria. This market is huge and is filled with all sorts of goodies from clothing to cameras and many other antiques. You can find anything here. I recommend getting there in the morning. It opens at 8:30 but most of the time the vendors aren’t done setting up until 9. This typical Sevillian market is filled with lots of energy and people. Most vendors only take cash so you should take some money out before you go. Although it is important to not bring your valuables and if you do keep a close watch on them the whole time.
Paseo de Arte: Art Market in Sevilla
Paso de Arte is a small artisan market. It is the perfect addition to a relaxing Sunday morning. This market opens at nine so you should head over right after breakfast. They have a range of items from paintings and prints to ceramics and crochet clothing. This is the perfect place to pick up some locally-made gifts. You will find these extremely friendly artisans below the Triana Bridge along the beautiful river. Often their market is closed when it is raining, but you can double-check on their Facebook page. They keep it updated with times and news.
Triana Market: The Best Food Markets in Sevilla
This Sevilla market is very different from the other two but the most important one to go to. The Triana market is the most famous in Sevilla. It is filled with incredible food stands from fruits and veggies to meat, fish, and fresh pasta. This is a great place to get gifts for any foodies in your life. They sell many typical local ingredients that you can take home such as herbs and spices. There is also a cooking class in the market. This is one of the most fun cooking classes I have done. Here is their website.
Seasonal Markets in Sevilla
Throughout the year you can also find different seasonal markets in Sevilla. There are often markets of antique books scattered around the city, as well as my favorite Christmas markets. You can find Christmas markets in Sevilla from the end of November to right before Christmas in December. These markets sell beautiful pieces of nativity scenes as well as locally made Christmas decorations and nonseasonal items. You can find these markets on Avenida de la Constitucion as well as in Plazza Nueva.
Have the best time exploring Sevilla’s best Markets! If you are looking for other Sevilla recommendations check out my other Sevilla posts here.
