I have noticed Milan hotel prices fluctuate abnormally more than most. This is often caused by one of Milan’s events, the time of year, or just at random. On my most recent trip to Milan, unfortunately, the not-so-nice hotels that are usually in the 60-100 range were 200+. Airbnbs can be tricky as well because they might seem cheap at first but often have high cleaning fees. This makes a 100 euro night turn into 180. Because I am unwilling to spend 200+ on a poor hotel I searched around until I was able to find LaFavia.
LaFavia is a great hotel to stay at in Milan because the prices are set and don’t change based on demand. The rooms are 100 euros. This makes it a perfect budget hotel in Milan because the prices will stay consistently well priced.
I would recommend staying at this place over any other budget hotel in Milan. Because even when the prices in Milan are low the hotels around the 60 euro range are nowhere near as nice as LaFavia.
Budget Hotel in Milan With a Great Location
LaFavia is in a great location as it is right next to Sarpi (Chinatown) and Corso Como. This is not exactly in the center but it is easy to walk to many destinations or take the tram/bus from the stop right outside the door.
The Rooms
LaFavia has four rooms attached to the lobby, breakfast area, and outdoor patios. They also have whole apartments for rent. one being a few floors up as well as another about 10 minutes away.
I stayed in lovely room number one. The room was clean and the decorations were unique, so it all felt very welcoming. As stated on their website, it was street-facing so it was a little bit loud but I had no problem sleeping. The bathroom was stocked with Kiehl’s products and was also very clean.
The outdoor space is a lovely addition that really makes this place special. The patio is huge and covered in well-maintained plants as well as more tables than they would ever need. I got takeout from Chinatown for lunch and was able to enjoy it sitting on their patio outside. If you are visiting Milan while it is sunny it is the perfect place to relax.
You get the pleasure of ordering your included breakfast the night before. As an American in Italy, I truly appreciated being able to get more than just a cornetto for breakfast. The owner checked on us multiple times and was happy to get us anything else we needed.
I hope that you enjoy your stay at LaFavia!
